This is where you can find links to equipment and accessories which can be used to in constructing your own low-cost, complete teleprompting solution.
A great place to search for computer related equipment is PRICEWATCH.COM. This is a website that searches many sales outlets and displays each vendors price beginning with the least expensive then moving on to the most expensive. (Note: Everything may turn out just fine but I recommend that you be cautions when ordering from the real 'cheap' outlet houses displayed by pricewatch).

When you get to the Pricewatch web site, you will see a keywords entry at
the top of the screen. This is where you can enter the keywords I have
listed below for each item. (obviuosly, you can also search for anything else
you are interested in buying)
Example: ![]()
So, If you are looking for the list of companies selling VGA Splitters you would
enter the two keywords I have listed in the VGA Splitter section
below.
VGA-Splitters - A VGA-Splitter is used to to convert (or split) a single VGA monitor output from your computer and create multiple VGA monitor outputs so you can display your script on more than one monitor for multi camera shoots.
When searching
use the following Keywords: monitor
splitter
you can also find VGA Splitters at
if you Click here
NTSC to VGA Converter - A
"NTSC to VGA Converter" (sometimes referred to as a Scan Converter)
converts the VGA monitor signal from your
computer to a NTSC video output signal and also allows you to plug your VGA
monitor into the VGA output. This effectively gives you two monitor
displays, One on the computer screen and another on a regular TV screen.
This allows you to display on a large or remote monitor very inexpensively.
When searching
use the following Keywords: scan
converter
Joystick - There are MANY types and styles
of joysticks. I recommend that you get a fairly inexpensive one for
joystick speed control of the teleprompter systems. Be careful NOT to
order the 'button only' game controllers that serve as joystick replacements for
some games as they do not have true analog potentiometers.
When searching
use the following Keywords: joystick
